HS SYSTEM

The HS SYSTEM is a Canon technology designed for shooting in low-light situations.  With this project, we’re putting it to the test.  All of the images on this site were taken with HS SYSTEM cameras that help reduce blurring and take brilliant, detailed images.

HS System Tips

When you’re shooting at night or in low-light, the HS SYSTEM will automatically help you take sharper, more detailed images. With these tips, you can further enhance these results:

  • Increase your ISO when shooting at night or in dimly-lit indoor settings. Bumping it up to ISO 400 or higher will help reduce blurring
  • To capture the ambiance of the background when your subject is in the foreground, turn off the flash
  • If you want to capture a subject in motion, use the flash to prevent blurring
  • Use a tripod to capture sharper, crisp images. If it’s not available, try using a steady surface such as a table
  • Adjust the white balance to achieve a more natural lighting effect
